Who Can Use This Page
This page applies to BookMySpa client accounts and BMS - Therapist accounts. It is provided for users who need a public web path to request account and associated data deletion, including users who have uninstalled the app or cannot access their in-app account settings.
Delete In The App
- BookMySpa clients can initiate deletion in the BookMySpa mobile app from Profile, then Delete Account, and confirm by typing DELETE.
- BMS - Therapist users can initiate deletion in BMS - Therapist from Profile, or from the pending/rejected approval screen where available, and confirm by typing DELETE.
In-app deletion may require active login and may ask for confirmation to prevent accidental or unauthorized deletion.
Request Deletion From The Web
If you cannot access the app, email support@bookmyspalon.com with the subject "Account Deletion Request". Include:
- The phone number registered with the account.
- Whether the account is a BookMySpa client account, BMS - Therapist account, or both.
- Any optional email address linked to the account.
- A short statement that you request deletion of your account and associated personal data.
We may ask you to verify account ownership before processing. Do not send OTPs, card details, UPI PINs, passwords, or sensitive medical information by email.
What We Delete Or Anonymize
- Login access is removed or disabled where deletion is allowed.
- Profile information is deleted, deactivated, or anonymized where operationally possible.
- Therapist deletion removes therapist app access, ends active therapist-spa assignments, removes future therapist availability eligibility, and deletes therapist profile media where possible.
- Device tokens and optional notification preferences may be removed or disabled.
Deletion Blockers
Deletion can be blocked or delayed where the account still has open operational or financial exposure, including:
- Active or upcoming paid/package-backed bookings, unresolved cancelled-booking refunds, or pending non-booking payments.
- Active client package wallet balance or package liability that must be consumed, expired, or refunded first.
- Therapist active or upcoming assigned bookings.
- Therapist priority payments or refunds that are pending or refunding.
- Legal, tax, audit, fraud-prevention, security, or dispute records that must be retained.
The app or support team will tell you the main blocker where possible.
What May Be Retained
We may retain booking history, payment and refund records, package records, platform receivable and payout records, QR verification audit, fraud-prevention logs, support records, ratings moderation records, tax/accounting records, and legally required records. Retained records are kept only for legitimate business, legal, compliance, audit, security, or dispute purposes.
Expected Timing
Where deletion can be automated, it may complete immediately or shortly after confirmation. Manual requests are acknowledged and processed within a reasonable time after identity verification and resolution of any blockers. Consumer grievances are acknowledged within 48 hours and targeted for resolution within one month where applicable.
